Novak Djokovic will play in the doubles draw as well at the Western & Southern Open as he is set to partner Filip Krajinovic in the initial entries revealed for the ATP Masters 1000 event.
No strangers to each other, Djokovic and Krajinovic have competed together four times with a 3-4 record. They upset French Open champions Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies in particular last year in Shanghai.
Stiff competition will be involved though with defending champions Ivan Dodig/Filip Polasek aiming to retain their title with
Juan Sebastian Cabal/Robert Farah and Lukasz Kubot/Marcelo Melo among the top teams.
Reigning Australian Open champions Rajeev Ram/Joe Salisbury are also involved. As are the likes of Karen Khachanov/Andrey Rublev; as well as the new team of
Nicolas Mahut and
Jan-Lennard Struff who will compete together after Pierre-Hugues Herbert decided not to travel due to the impending birth of his first child.
