Despite losing to
Daniil Medvedev in straight sets in Dubai,
Novak Djokovic looked at the bright side of his loss with his body feeling really well and healthy.
Djokovic won the Australian Open with an injury but lost fully healthy in Dubai. It doesn't matter much to him because he's glad about being fully healthy and he chose to focus on that after a lacklustre performance against Medvedev in Dubai. After the match, he said there were lots of positives from this week:
“Oh, lots of positives. The way I felt throughout the
entire week makes me really satisfied with the current state of my body,
not knowing how I’m going to react with the comeback after an injury.
I’m really glad."
He praised Medvedev for the effort admitting that he was simply the better player:
“I lost to a better opponent. I know that I didn’t play
well in some decisive moments, but it was also due to his quality of
tennis. That’s it. We move on to the next challenge.”
