Dominic Thiem fires back to comments made by his ex physio

Leading up to the Wimbledon Dominic Thiem picked up a freakish wrist injury that forced him to miss Wimbledon. He underwent treatment and recovery but some mistakes were made and Thiem reinjured his wrist resulting on him calling time on the 2021 season. The comments about mistakes made during recovery is part of a statement the Austrian released about his former physio who slammed him prior to that.

In an interview with an Austrian newspaper Alex Strobel slammed Theim for the way he let him go explaining that he wasn't even told personally about the dismissal:

"I was absolutely loyal to Dominic for six years - and then he doesn't even have the courage to tell me that we're no longer working together."

Thiem has now responded with a statement of his own explaining that during his recovery mistakes were made (presumable by his physio) that resulted in him missing the rest of the season. He also explained he would have loved to keep the issue private but he was forced to respond this way. Check out his full statement below.
