Dominic Thiem will return to tennis this week at the Mallorca Championships and the Austrian is hoping to build some confidence ahead of Wimbledon.
It has not been a good year for Dominic Thiem who struggled with confidence issues related to his lack of motivation. Ever since he won the US Open Thiem has had trouble finding his best tennis but he looks to change that in Mallorca.
The Austrian has not played since the French Open where he lost in shocking fashion to Pablo Andujar but a few days of good practice and some chatting with Tommy Haas has him ready to go for the grass season.
It will also be the first time he steps onto the court since making the announcement regarding the Tokyo Olympic Games. Thiem will not be competing at the games which came as a shock to many. It's evident the Austrian has still not overcome some of the issues that have plagued him.
We hope to see Thiem do well on the grass and in Wimbledon. The draw did not favour him too much as he might fave an in-form Struff in the 2nd round with Khachanov possibly waiting in the quarterfinals.
