Cameron Norrie made it to the Queen's Club final and the Brit deems it as one of his biggest achievements considering the lore of the event.
Cameron Norrie has been one of the more steady performers this year and he has reached another final in 2021. After a strong week at the famous Queen's Club, he is in the cinch Championships final where he will play Matteo Berrettini. Asked after the match what it means for him he said:
“It hasn’t really sunk in yet. I think I played very good today and I’m so pleased to be through to the final here. All credit to Denis, it was a tough match. I have doubles later on but obviously, it’s a huge tournament for me and one of my biggest achievements so far. Let’s see if I can go one better tomorrow."
It won't be easy for Norrie as the player who played even better tennis all week than him is Matteo Berrettini. The Italian is an extremely tough player to beat on the grass with his powerful first serve and sensational forehand. You need him to misfire often which has not been the case this week.
On that matchup Norrie said:
“I’ve watched him [Berrettini] a little bit throughout the week, he has a huge serve, he likes a drop shot. I saw him play earlier today and he had a really good day so it’s not going to be easy. I’m looking forward to it.”
