"Don't remind me how lonely I am": Carlos Alcaraz hilariously laments single life

Carlos Alcaraz hilariously lamented single life in replying to a comment from a fan after her took part in a 'What's in My Bag' video with sponsor El Pozo Legado Iberico. He has long been known to be single.

This is despite rumours swirling which have often debunked including about Emma Raducanu which some people get drawn into and think are actually true. He spoke last year to the Sunday Times and said that he was very much single.

He owed that mainly to the fact that he spends most of his time on tour travelling so doesn't have masses of time to get involved in a relationship.

"No, I am single. I am looking for someone. It can be difficult as a tennis player to meet the right person because you are traveling all the time," he said back then to the outlet.

But he also lamented it as such during his Alex de Minaur speech at the Australian Open after the Aussie had just got engaged to long-time girlfriend Katie Boulter.

This during a spell which saw Casper Ruud and Felix Auger-Aliassime also become engaged in a week which began the off season and saw many top names get engaged. "Who knows this year [Laughing]... No, no, no, engagement so far. Single, so far. I laughed with some close people that during the break, 3 or 4 players got engaged. I thought it was my turn, but not yet."

But as he revealed what's in his bag, he was asked about a girlfriend and joked back to not be reminded how lonely he is. Alcaraz will return at Indian Wells and Miami in a few weeks time hoping to fully kickstart his season.

"And the girlfriend? Don’t you take her out?" the fan wondered in the comments. "Don’t remind me how lonely I am," he joked with a teary eyed emoji.
