Jack Draper didn't play his best in the Adelaide 2 semi-final as he was beaten by Sonwoo Kwon in three sets 7-6(6) 6-7(2) 6-3.
The British player might have been distracted after finding out that he'll play Rafael Nadal in the first round of the Australian Open as he certainly seemed absent in parts of this match. Draper was hoping to earn a final in Adelaide but it won't be happening after a tight loss. The opening set saw Draper miss a few good chances to go up.
He was then broken at 5-5 but broke back to force a tiebreak. It was one where Kwon played better taking it 8-6. The second set saw Draper miss a few more break chances as Kwon was able to play his best when it mattered the most. The South Korean also missed a few break chances of his own and we ended up in another tiebreak.
This time around it was Draper who took it 7-2. The final set saw Kwon break immediately to start and he never let go of the lead. He even added another break, later on, to finish out the match 6-3.
