Draw released for 2020 Forte Village Sardegna Open headlined by Fognini and Lajovic

The Forte Village Sardegna Open 2020 will be the first-ever and with a field headlined by Fognini and Lajovic, there will be plenty of tennis observed from the 12th till the 18th of October.

The global pandemic has impacted the tennis world significantly so there have been several events added to the provisional schedule. One of those events is the Forte Village Sardegna Open 2020 which was never held before. Despite the lack of tradition, it boasts a strong field for its inaugural holding with Fabio Fognini, Dusan Lajovic, Casper Ruud, Albert Ramos, Francis Tiafoe and many others.

The structure of this event has it that the 4 highest ranked players have all BYEs in the first round. That means that Fognini, Lajovic, Ruud and Ramos will await for their opponents. That won't make things any easier as Albert Ramos who is the 3rd seed might face either Frances Tiafoe or Corentin Moutet. Fognini might face Roberto Carballes Baena in the 2nd round who had a strong run at the Roland Garros.
