The draw has now been released with Andrey Rublev to face either Laslo Djere or Ilya Ivashka.
Other ties include Marin Cilic v Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the same quarter as Adrian Mannarino v Karen Khachanov.
While Shapovalov could face either Pablo Andujar or Federico Delbonis in the tournament which takes place from October 25-31, 2021.
