Draw released for 2022 Qatar ExxonMobil Open including Shapovalov, Murray and Cilic

The 2022 Qatar ExxonMobil Open is an ATP 250 event running from February 14th till February 19th with Denis Shapovalov, Andy Murray and Marin Cilic.

Tennis returns once more to the Persian Gulf with the 2022 ATP event in Qatar. It is the first of two tournaments in Qatar with a WTA tournament following one in Dubai featuring a similar line-up. This event will have Denis Shapovalov as its top seed with the Canadian looking to shake off a terrible outing in Rotterdam.

Shapovalos is familiar with the events and has played here before so he will be motivated to do well once more. Andy Murray will also look for some good tennis in the Gulf. Murray last played in Rotterdam but did not show a huge level of tennis.

The draw set up Murray against Daniel Taro once more after the Japanese player halted Murray in Melbourne. If Murray wins he will face Roberto Bautista Agut who played in the final last year. Defending champion Nikoloz Basilashvili will also be back to try and lift the trophy once more. Some interesting matchups include Evans - Gerasimov, Goffin - Ruusuvuori andFucsovics - Harris.
