Rafael Nadal will likely say goodbye to tennis after 2024 with that year being something of a farewell tour for the Spaniard if the hip injury even permits.
Nothing is certain in the future of Rafael Nadal as he'll be away from tennis for a few more months due to the hip injury he got at the Australian Open earlier this year. Nobody expected him to miss this much but hip injuries can be notoriously tricky to heal. They also might be career-ending as several players experienced, Andy Murray most recently.
A farewell Tour is not something that we see often but it's been done in the past. Stefan Edberg announced his in 1996 but it ended up being something that he would not recommend to anybody. The former player advised Federer not to do it and the Swiss ace followed. He simply played Laver Cup and hung it up.
Nadal seems to take a different approach but it will all depend on how much his hip permits.
