The 2023 Moselle Open will take place from November 5 - 11 at the Arènes de Metz in the northeastern city of Metz, France. Now, the entry list for the ATP 250 tournament has been released.
This year's event marks the 20th anniversary of the tournament's inception in 2003 and will welcome eight Top 20 players to its 28-player singles field.
The top seed will be World No. 6 Holger Rune, who is aiming for some better results in order to secure his place at the ATP Finals in Turin, which will be held from November 12-19. The Dane has had a difficult time in recent months as he dealt with a back injury and suffered a string of early exits.
Moreover, World No. 8 Casper Ruud was also scheduled to compete in Metz as the second seed and, along with third seed Hubert Hurkacz. Ruud has since withdrawn as have Tommy Paul, Cameron Norrie, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Arthur Fils and Andy Murray.
This is likely due to the turnaround between Paris and Metz and many wanting to simply end their seasons early.
