At the ABN ARMO Open Rotterdam, Carlos Alcaraz disputed this Sunday his first final of the 2025 season. The challenge ahead of him was very complicated. Alex de Minaur, his opponent, had been offering a very high level of tennis. The show was one for the ages.
In the end, the victory went to Carlitos, adding his first title of 2025. He defeated the Australian after a great match by a score of 6-4, 3-6 and 6-2.
After lifting the title, Alcaraz made the corresponding statements on the court, first congratulating De Miñaur for his great level: "Hello everyone. I just want to start with Alex. Congratulations for a fantastic tournament. The success you’re having, yours doing great work with your team. Congratulations for everything. I’m always wishing you all the best. Happy to see you at the top of the top.”
After that, Carlos Alcaraz wanted to remember all his team, confirming that his intention is to continue with all of them during the next tournaments, and even the whole season. The Spaniard has complicated challenges ahead, and he wants to continue to maintain his trustworthy team:
“I’d like to continue with my team. Thank you for everything. This week has been a really good week. Coming here with, let’s say, not feeling 100% well with the cold. Every day I felt better and better thanks to you. All the people back home as well, I just want to say thank you. I’m not a guy who says this many times, but I really want to tell you… I love you guys. Thank you for everything you’re doing for me.”

Truly ridiculous movement and instincts.
There are tennis players.
And there are super heroes.
Carlos Alcaraz is both.
