Andrey Rublev once again spoke about his mental health and various outbursts on the court. The world No. 10 has been involved in several on-court controversies over the past two years, including being disqualified for shouting at a ballkid, smashing rackets, and even a recent incident where he injured his leg by hitting himself with his racket.

Rublev discussed how he has worked to control his emotions in the demanding life of a professional tennis player. "It's like a person who is addicted to something: every day you're a bit afraid. Today, I was able (to calm down); but the next day, I don't know if I will make it or not."

The Russian spoke with journalist Giovanni Pelazzo, who asked if he had any advice for young players who look up to him. "I don't know which advice I could give to the younger generations. The easiest thing I can say is to be always honest with yourself. 99% of the people in the world, even if they think they are, they're not 100% honest with themselves," the former world No. 5 said.

"It's important to accept yourself. If you have a problem, the first thing to do is to put away your complexity and your ego. Listen to your body, to your voice: everything is inside. It's only about yourself," he added.

Rublev recently fell in the quarterfinals of the ABN AMRO Open against 8th seed Hubert Hurkacz. The Russian, seeded 4th, took the opening set in a tiebreak but saw his level drop in the latter stages of the match, as the Polish player turned it around to win 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-4 and advance to the semifinals.
