5Roger Federer, who missed almost the whole 2020 season gave another hint on his comeback in 2021.
The 39-years-old Swiss played only 1 tournament in 2020, that being the first Grand Slam of the season, Australian Open. Then, he missed the whole season to recover after a surgery. It seemed that Federer should be ready for the 2021 Australian Open, but in the latest interview he raised some doubts about his participation.
"I would have hoped that I would be 100 per cent in October. But I am still not today. It will be tight for the Australian Open," Federer said. "It's a race against time for the Australian Open. I'm curious to see whether it will start on February 8. Of course, it would help if I had a bit more time."
