Congratulations @rogerfederer for being voted as the Fans’ Favorite Singles Player for the 19th consecutive year in the 2021 ATP Awards.
Roger Federer has been voted as the winner of the Fans' Favorite Award at the 2021 ATP Awards, an accolade the Swiss has run away with for the 19th consecutive year.
Federer made his return to the ATP Tour at Doha in March, following two arthroscopic right knee surgeries in 2020. The former World No.1 made a run to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon this June, before falling to Hubert Hurkacz.
“The crowds were amazing,” said Federer after the match. “The ovation was fantastic. I loved it. That's why I play. That's why I still play now.”
The 20-time Grand Slam champion has won a record 40 ATP Awards, including being the recipient of the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award 13 times, as voted by his peers. Additionally, he won the Comeback Player of the Year Award in 2017 and is a two-time winner of the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award.
