Rafael Nadal was not as sharp as in the first match at Hurlingham losing to Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-7(6) 6-4 3-10.
The match was an interesting one with the opening est being closely contested by both. Auger was serving spectacularly hitting 13 aces in the opening set. Nadal added a couple of his own but neither player was able to create too much pressure on return, especially on the first serve. We ended up in a tiebreak and Auger proved slightly better winning it 8-6.
The 2nd set featured improved play by Nadal who was able to finally break his opponent. Auger served well once again hitting 17 aces this time around but he was unable to play his best tennis in one game where Nadal got the break. The Spaniard was once again solid on his own serve allowing very few chances and securing it 6-4.
The final set was a match tiebreak until 10 and after jumping out to an early lead Auger cruised to a 10-3 finish. His serve did a lot of damage in that tiebreak and Nadal was unable to hit the court as well as he had before. Overall Nadal concludes the Hurlingham experience with one win and one loss.
