Novak Djokovic created history at the recent Roland Garros (French Open) by winning his 23rd grand slam trophy and he received a special gift for the achievement.
Djokovic had an incredible time at Roland Garros comfortably cruising through the rounds and beating every player he faced. He also beat the number one favourite Carlos Alcaraz en route to the final where he faced Casper Ruud. The Norwegian couldn't really keep up with Djokovic and lost in straight sets with the Serbian completing what he came for in the French capital.
It was the crowning moment of his career as he became the first male player to win 23 grand slams and also became the first male player to win each of the grand slams three times. He also achieved some other impressive things along the way and for all of that Djokovic received a special gift from Head.
Golden Racquet
The company has provided Djokovic with racquets for many years as he never felt the need to switch. Why would he when everything is working so well for the Serbian who quite literally put together the greatest tennis career of all time and he's not even done yet? Wimbledon is around the corner so number 24 could possibly be coming in a few weeks.
To mark the occasion Head Tennis sent Djokovic a special golden racquet for his achievement. The company posted a photo of Djokovic receiving it together with his wife and kids. It's a rather special racquet as even the grip was made out of gold. Fans have called the racquet fit for a champion and it's hard to disagree with that assessment.
The Serbian is currently vacationing in Portugal but he's going to travel to London soon to begin his Wimbledon preparation. Check out the photo below.
