Former Australian Open semi-finalist Hyeon Chung will play his first singles event in three years after briefly coming back from injuries last year in doubles.
Chung was a rising star for a while with a very bright future but several injuries have kept him away from tennis for a very long time. It's actually been three years since he last played in singles and he's about to change that. Chung is set to play in the Challenger event in Seoul next week. It's not the first time he'll be on a court since his injuries as he played in Seoul last year as well.
He partnered Kwon at the ATP event in Seoul winning two matches in doubles before losing. This will however be his first event in singles since Roland Garros in 2020.
