Former coach of Agassi, Brad Gilbert believes that the real test for Alycia Parks is coming up because she's now on people's radar after a sudden rise.
Parks surprised many with a sudden rise that culminated in her maiden WTA trophy at Lyon Open. The American hasn't been able to hold that huge level for long with many of her most recent matches ending in losses. It's not by chance as players are now actively preparing against her which comes with the sudden rise to prominence.
Experienced coach Brad Gilbert believes it's the real test for her:
"Love to see somebody that wasn't on people's radar a few years ago doing what she (Alycia Parks) is doing. Now she's (No.) 50 in the world, now she's on people's radar, now can she make that next leap? That's the beauty of tennis, the beauty of sports. She wasn't on the radar, now people know what she's doing. Can she get better from here?"
Her Indian Wells experience didn't go well either as Kalinskaya proved better 6-1 6-1.
