Frances Tiafoe played his 3rd match in two days beating Brouwer 6-4 6-1 but it was quick one and he'll be ready for the final in Houston later today.
Rain delay will have Tiafoe playing four matches in two days but the American was very quick in the first match on Sunday beating Brouwer in 60 minutes. It was a pretty clear plan by Tiafoe who was looking to shorten points any way he can. Brouwer plays a similar style so that certainly helped.
The Dutch player held on for a while hitting the ball really well but eventually, Tiafoe proved too good. He took a late lead in the opening set and closed it out 6-4. The second set was much simpler as Tiafoe was now in full rhythm and he quickly smashed his opponent 6-1 in the final set. A good win by Tiafoe who will contest the final later today as well.
