Frances Tiafoe's girlfriend, Ayan Broomfield,
opened up about health issues during her visit to Tokyo to support him at the
ATP 500
Japan Open. The 7th seed traveled from Berlin after the Laver Cup but
suffered a first-round defeat against Brandon Nakashima.
The world No. 15 still has two more tournaments
to play in the Asian swing, as he will be at the Shanghai Masters starting
September 30 and then travel to the ATP 250 Almaty in Kazakhstan two weeks
later.
Amid her arrival in Tokyo, Ayan Broomfield
revealed that she fell ill during the trip and was unable to get out of bed for
48 hours: "Put a finger down if you travel to your favorite city and hours
into the trip you get sick and can barely get out of bed for 48 hours,"
Broomfield wrote on her Instagram stories.
"I barely made it out to experience +
capture any of this magical city, but the room service/delivery was exceptional😂," she captioned in another
photo she took of a Tokyo landscape.
