Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul battled for over three hours in the very humid and warm Acapulco conditions with the former turning a bit sick towards the end of it.
Fritz and Paul were in the middle of a heated battle for a place in the Acapulco final when Fritz stopped play in the 3rd set on his serve. It was 6-5 for Paul in the final set with 3 hours and 20 minutes displayed on the clock. He went over to his bench and threw up before continuing the match. Fritz would win that game and force a tiebreak but Paul would prevail in it.
A very rare seen for a tennis court albeit understandable after a heated battle in such conditions.
