Great Britain defeated Moldova 3-0 at the ATP Cup to secure their second victory and get closer to the Final 8.
After not a very impressive beginning, when
Great Britain lost to Bulgaria, they are starting to show their best at the ATP Cup. First,
they defeated Belgium and now they took on Moldova.
Cameron Norrie secured the first needed victory for Brits after just 72 minutes. He defeated Alexander Cozbinov 6-2, 6-2 and gave his country 1-0 lead.
Daniel Evans was almost identical against Radu Albot. It took him one minute more to defeat his opponent but after 73 minutes, Evans won 6-2, 6-2 and Great Britain led already 2-0.
Needing every point to remain in a battle for the quarterfinal, Salisbury & Murray had to show their best also in doubles. They faced Albot & Cozbinov and they almost replicated their countrymen's result when they won 6-2, 6-3 after just 63 minutes.
After a 3-0 victory, Great Britain does have a high chance of advancing from 1st or the 2nd place in group.
Bulgaria and Belgium are yet to play and so also their result depends on Great Britain's chances.
