"He almost beat Novak": Tiafoe, Schwartzman and Zverev pick Korda as player to watch in 2023

Sebastian Korda opened this year really well and he's been picked by several colleagues as the player to watch in 2023 in the ATP's prediction feature.

Sebastian Korda is the only player that gave Novak Djokovic any problems this year, nearly beating him in Adelaide and that is why many of his colleagues feel like he's a player to watch this year. Korda played the final really well taking the opening set but then lost the next two. He then followed it up with a good run at the Australian Open and it seems like this year might be the one where he'll finally break out in a major way.

Some of his colleagues certainly agree. Tiafoe said:

"I'm going to go with Sebi Korda. In the last year, he has played very well. I mean, he almost beat Novak. He could be tough."

Schwartzman added:

"Maybe not many are looking at him right now, but he's a solid guy."

Zverev said:

"Sebastian Korda because he has a massive game."
