"This year he can be dangerous": Tiafoe and Ruud among others expect Wawrinka return to form in 2023

Stan Wawrinka is back to playing regular tennis again and some of his colleagues like Tiafoe and Ruud predict him to have a great year in 2023.

Wawrinka has been one of the rare players that was able to disrupt the big three dominance as he was extremely tough to beat for a few years. He even won a couple of grand slams and while he's not capable of doing that again, he's expected to return to some sort of form this year. He even demonstrated it last year when he defeated Medvedev indoors among other things.

Some of the players expect him to do well this year as they picked him as comeback player of the year in a feature for ATP. Ruud said:

“He has been injured for some time, but I think this year he can be dangerous."

Tiafoe added:

“He seems motivated. I like Stan a lot. We get on really well."
