"He did more for the promotion of tennis than ATP by just showing up to a match" - fans react to BTS singer attending a match in Korea

BTS Singer Jin attended the Casper Ruud - Nicolas Jarry match in Seoul, South Korea with a tweet of him watching having a massive impact on social media.

One of the most popular musical acts nowadays are South Korean band BTS. While their core fanbase is located in East and Southeast Asia, they are the most popular East Asian musical act in the West. Their outreach on social media is tremendous and when one of the members attended a tennis match in Seoul, it showed.

Casper Ruud was playing Nicolas Jarry with the ATP social media channels posting about Jin attending the match. Within hours the tweet became one of the most viewed and retweeted ones ever with reporter Ben Rothenberg pointing out that tennis is really behind in many ways to other sports:
