A very interesting quarterfinal was played in Tallinn with Krejcikova beating Haddad Maia in straight sets 6-3 6-4.
The Czech player finally found some decent form this week in Estonia and played some of the best tennis she has played all year long. Her talent never went away but it took her a long time to finally find her besT following her injury.
Haddad Maia has been a breakout player this year with very consistent play and while she put up another solid effort today she was simply outplayed by the Czech player. They generally play a very similar style but Krejcikova served a bit better and it allowed her to finish off points rather easily.
The Czech player barely lost any points behind her serve in the opening set while she did well enough on return. Pretty much the same thing happened in the second set even though Haddad Maia had more chances in this one.
Overall just a sturdy win from Krejcikova who moves on to the semi-final.
