"He'll be in the top ten in a year or two" - Gasquet lauds high praise on Alcaraz after Croatia Open Umag final

In and amongst the Olympic Games, Carlos Alcaraz was winning his first ATP title at the Croatia Open in Umag defeating Richard Gasquet 6-2, 6-2 in the final.

Alcaraz will climb to a career-high ranking of 55 and joins the next lot of Next Gen players and Gasquet believes that he will be climbing towards the top ten.

“He has everything to make a huge career. He’ll be [ranked in the] top 10 in a year or two, I think,” the Frenchman said in an interview with L’Equipe.

“And he has the potential to win in the Grand Slams, that’s for sure. How much he will [win] is hard to say, but I have no doubt that he will gain a lot [of majors].”
