The ATP prize money for the 2025 ATP 250 Houston Open has been revealed. The tournament is scheduled to take place from March 31 through April 6, 2025, at River Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.
The tournament will feature local players Tommy Paul (No. 13) and Frances Tiafoe (No. 17), as well as other players ranked inside the top 40, including Alejandro Tabilo, Brandon Nakashima, and Alex Michelsen.
The defending champion is Ben Shelton, who defeated Frances Tiafoe 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 to claim his second career title—his first on clay. The tournament will begin on Monday, following the conclusion of the Miami Open, serving as an intermediate stop at the start of the European clay swing, making it the first clay tournament of the year for most players.
The tournament has seen a 5.8% increase in prize money compared to 2024, with a total purse of $680,140. The champion will receive $103,455, a 2.8% increase from Shelton's prize last year.
The prize money increases are around 3% across all rounds, including a raise for first-round losers, who will earn $7,295. The second round will award $11,935, while quarterfinalists will receive nearly double that amount at $20,555. Semifinalists will earn $35,480, while the runner-up will take home $60,350.
