The Charleston Open, scheduled to take place between March 31st until April 6, has unveiled its prize money and points breakdowns with an increase for 2025 confirmed.

While a significant portion of the clay season unfolds in Europe, the WTA 500 Charleston serves as a transition following the Sunshine Double, allowing players to commence the clay court tournaments in the USA.

The first seed will be Jessica Pegula, who has never won a title on clay. As the world No. 5 and a local player, she will carry the responsibility of at least reaching the later stages of the tournament. She will be joined as a top seed by Danielle Collins who returns as defending champion who won her first WTA 500 level title last year in Miami as well as this title. She reached the top 10 after that.

Madison Keys also returns as a Grand Slam champion, while Emma Navarro plays her local tournament. Her father Ben Navarro sponsors the tournament and is director so it is a tournament that holds lead significance for her. She made her WTA main draw debut at this tournament back in 2019. While former champions in Daria Kasatkina, Veronika Kudermetova and Belinda Bencic also return.

Last year saw $142,000 for the champion, this year it is $164,000 with the finalist receiving $101,000. $51,085 is set for the semi-finalists, while Quarter-Finalists receive $25,550.
