The big bumper semi-final is on its way as Carlos Alcaraz will face off against Jannik Sinner, with the other half of the draw seeing Tommy Paul facing Daniil Medvedev. The comments of the latter American seemed to be noted by Alcaraz in particular when discussing his next rival.
Tommy Paul's trainer used the analogy of Sinner's form that he is playing 'naked' and Alcaraz used the same depiction and said that he found it funny but also that he is the best tennis player in the world right now in his mind.
"My fitness trainer taught me a term that they use in Argentina when somebody's playing unbelievable. It means they say they're playing naked and he's (Sinner) playing absolutely naked," Paul said prior.
Alcaraz then poked fun at that while also complementing Sinner at the same time. "He's [Jannik Sinner is] the best tennis player in the world right now, without a doubt. I mean, I hear some declarations from Tommy Paul that was funny for me, that he's absolutely naked right now (smiling)."
