"He's maturing" says Djokovic about next opponent Denis Shapovalov

Novak Djokovic will face Denis Shapovalov in the Wimbledon semifinal and the Serbian is expecting a very tough match. Djokovic reached the semifinal rather easily and he hasn't been tested too much so far. Shapovalov might present a big challenge for Novak who spoke about his opponent.

He said:

"It seems like he’s maturing. You would expect that from a player like him that has really an all-around game. He has been consistent with success on the tour in the last couple of years, top 20, top 15 in the world, although people did expect him to probably going to top 10 or maybe top 5 and be one of the leaders of the Next Gen, which he is."

Shapovalov has been playing sensational tennis throughout the fortnight at SW19 which is proof his game is indeed maturing. Shapovalov's game is beautiful too watch yet the Canadian can be wild at times as he described it. He still prone to some of his old habits which is why he played two 5-setters so far. Djokovic further added:

"Maybe big matches, he was not winning those. It seems like he’s maturing, which is also something that is normal. He’s comfortable coming in to net. I think his movement has improved. He’s probably making less errors, which was probably the part of his game that was always troubling him."
