Sport is all about winning. The more a player wins, the more
fans from every walk of life follow them.
Tennis is no different. Players go through good and bad
patches and the ones who emerge victorious from such situations separate them
from the rest.
Young players performance in particular remains in focus as
the sporting world is always looking for new superstars.
In the world of men’s tennis, two young stars are going
through a rough patch — Denmark’s
Holger Rune and Canada’s
Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Rune has won just one match since his outing at Wimbledon
earlier this year. On the other hand, Auger Aliassime’s has won just two
matches since the ATP event took place in Madrid.
Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether these two
players will be able to bounce back or whether they will continue their horrid
run.
The 20-year-old, who is currently the world number five,
suffered a second-round exit from the Shanghai Masters after losing to USA’s Brandon
Nakashima in straight sets with a score of 6-0, 6-2.
On the other hand, Auger Aliassime also suffered a round of
64 exit from the ATP 1000 event after losing to Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics with
a score of 7-6, 4-6, 6-3.
