Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas will meet in the final at the 2020 Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships and the world number 1 commented on his upcoming opponent ahead of the match.

Djokovic was close to ending his journey in Dubai already in the semifinal match. The Serbian faced 3 match points against Gael Monfils but managed to come back. On how does it feel when you are so close to being knocked out of the tournament, Novak said:
“It's like being on the edge of a cliff. You know there is no way back so you have to jump over and try to find a way to survive I guess and pray for the best and believe that you can make it, that there is something that is going to help you. That's one of the things that I feel at the moment. Okay, one point away, one shot away. There is no going back. This is it. I accept the situation and try to make the most out of it.”
While Tsitsipas is undefeated for 8 matches, Djokovic has a streak of 20 competitive matches without losing. However, Tsitsipas was the last player to defeat the Serbian when he outplayed him in the exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
“It's anybody's game really,” said Djokovic. “He's won eight matches in a row now from last week in France winning [the Marseille] title, now playing more or less every single day, which is quite impressive. It's not easy… I hope I can recover. I hope I can be at my best because I need to start better than I have tonight. Hopefully, I can get a title.”
