In the final of 2020 Qatar Open, it will be about more than just a title. If Kvitova will win the match, she will move back to TOP 10. And if Sabalenka is the winner, she will surpass the Czech in the ranking by moving to 11th place.
Sabalenka is having a very good tournament in Doha and it is a big question if Kvitova can stop her from winning the title. After a successful semifinal match against Kuznetsova, Sabalenka was excited to be in the final as she said:
"I'm really happy to be in the final here, especially because it's my first time here," she continued. "It's really nice and I'm really happy with the level I'm playing right now and well, we'll see what's going to happen tomorrow, but for sure I will bring everything I have."
"I think I'm moving better and I'm trying to stay in the longer points," she added. "I'm actually not afraid to play long points and I'm enjoying it. And that's a big difference, because when you enjoy it, then you're like you can play. When it's some pressure for you, then it's not a game, you're always under the pressure and you're not enjoying it. So it makes a huge difference."
