Lajovic was first on court today results wise and lost to World No.118 Yannick Hanfmann in three sets claiming the first 6-4 but losing the next two 3-6, 4-6. The latter had previously swept aside Alexander Bublik in straight sets and his run continues.
Next up will be his compatriot Maximilian Marterer who eased past Hubert Hurkacz; the number five seed in a 6-1, 6-4 victory. The World No.337 came through in just over an hour; with 5/7 on his break points and 87% of his first serve points won.
While Basilashivil lost out to Federico Delbonis in less of a shock with a 5-7, 3-6 defeat to the Argentinian but it meant that the fourth seed as well is now out of proceedings. The latter will now take on either Jordan Thompson and Miomir Kecmanovic.
