Hurkacz records biggest win of career with upset win over Rublev in Miami

The dream run continues for Hubert Hurkacz, as the 26th seed stunned World No.8 Andrey Rublev to advance to his maiden ATP Masters 1000 final at the Miami Open.
The in-form Pole required just 87 minutes to pull off the 6-3 6-4 upset, with his Russian opponent looking out of sorts throughout the match. After claiming his second ATP Tour trophy in Delray Beach a few weeks ago, Hurkacz has now won nine matches in a row in Florida.
The World No.37 dictated play from the start, obtaining a double break to lead 5-1. Despite Rublev breaking back to keep the score close at 5-3, Hurkacz was able to serve out the first set.
The 24-year old got the crucial break at the start of the second set, and never looked back. Although he squandered two match points, he was able to convert on his third, booking his place in his first ATP Masters 1000 final. This would be his second win over Rublev, improving his record to 2-0 against the Russian.
Hurkacz will face former doubles partner Jannik Sinner in the final, as the Italian youngster upset seventh seed Roberto Bautista Agut in three sets to reach his first Masters final.

- I heartily disagree with Stubbs here. I mean c'mon! The whole idea of giving out wildcards is to give new & up-coming players a chance at getting as much circuit match-practice under their belts as possible. And this is a HUGE must and opportunity for these new kids on the block. Why curtail opportunities for these newbies in favour of stalwart monopoly?? That just isn't fair. At least give these lesser known players a chance to become more familiar at playing in bigger tournaments & give them also a chance of getting the crowds behind these underdogs.
