Jan-Lennard Struff will face Novak Djokovic in the 2nd round of the Olympic Games and the German believes he can win.

Facing Novak Djokovic is a very difficult thing to do especially when the Serbian is playing superb tennis as he is at the moment. That does not discourage Struff to believe he has what it takes to win the match and cause a major upset. Asked about their upcoming match he said:

"It will be a special match. Novak is currently in great form and I will not have a chance unless I play my best tennis. I have never beaten Novak, but I believe in victory, otherwise, I would not be playing. Every player wants to beat Novak, so do I."

Struff has caused a fair share of upsets in 2021 especially when playing his best tennis. The German will largely depend on his serve and if he can hit it at a high rate he will give himself a better chance than on most days.

Djokovic has spoken about the conditions as well which he called tough to deal with and it will play a part in this match as well. The Serbian does not do well with heat or humidity so it will be interesting to see how he adapts. The match will start later in the day when the heat should subside a bit.
