The 18-time Major champion has been the most significant rival of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal over the previous 15 years, standing as the player to beat during the last decade.
One of the greatest players of all time doesn't like to compare himself with the rivals from the past or the mentioned duo that has been battling against him for a decade and a half. Walking through his unique path, Novak wants to become a better person and achieve everything he can in life, assuring that god and the universe have plans for us all.
"I'm making a comparison only to myself for the previous 15 years. We can start losing ourselves in other comparisons. About five years ago, I stopped comparing myself with the others. I don't want to compare myself with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, or myself from 15 years ago with some other player. I'm writing my personal story because I know myself better than anyone else.
That's why I want to achieve as much as I can in this life and become the best possible person. For those reasons, I have been trying to live under the mentioned standards and accept whatever life brings because I believe in life. In my opinion, god and the universe have plans for each of us," said Novak Djokovic.
