Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic met at the Adria Tour in Belgrade as the German joked that he doesn't want to face world no. 1 again.
After a successful tournament in Belgrade, the
Adria Tour moved to Zadar, Croatia. In Serbia, Djokovic and Zverev met in the last match of the group stage. The German youngster and Serbian world number 1 played one of the best matches in the Novak Tennis Center.
Djokovic triumphed in front of the home stands and Zverev joked about this at the press conference in Zadar. The two won't meet in the group stage of the Adria Tour in Zadar and so the only chance of them playing a match in Croatia is meeting in the final.
"I don't want to play with Novak anymore, I have had enough. Joke aside, we enjoy Zadar, the sea and the nature. Croatia is a beautiful country. I hope we will enjoy it just as much when matches start," Zverev, said per Sport Klub.
