Former world number three David Nalbandian wants to see Roger Federer back soon as tennis has a special aura when all three of the big three are around.
The Argentine had a chance to play all of them several times even beating them which is always a cherished memory for him. He knows very well how events feel when all of Djokovic, Nadal and Federer are around. He admitted it in a recent interview in Madrid speaking about a special atmosphere when the big three are around. He got to see only two of them in Madrid where he stayed with Kecmanovic whom he coaches.
He said:
“Well, two are around. Roger is a bit far away. Everybody is waiting for that. Roger is amazing. It’s always nice to see him playing. How the atmosphere is around. I hope Roger is coming back soon for our sport."
Asked what makes tournaments different with Roger and the big three he simply said:
“It doesn’t matter if they win or lose. But when they are around in the tournament, the tournament feels different. That’s for sure.”

The whole idea of giving out wildcards is to give new & up-coming players a chance at getting as much circuit match-practice under their belts as possible. And this is a HUGE must and opportunity for these new kids on the block. Why curtail opportunities for these newbies in favour of stalwart monopoly?? That just isn't fair. At least give these lesser known players a chance to become more familiar at playing in bigger tournaments & give them also a chance of getting the crowds behind these underdogs.
