Novak Djokovic is hopeful that his elbow will be good for the event in Banja Luka as he hopes to have a really good event after the Monte-Carlo disappointment.
Djokovic lost against Lorenzo Musetti at the Monte-Carlo Masters which was a huge disappointment for him. To add insult to injury, he suffered from an elbow issue that could be a factor in his season moving forward. He's been largely injury-free in his career but at age 35 it's not a guarantee anymore.
Speaking in Banja Luka, Djokovic said:
"My thoughts are directed towards Banja Luka, I want to enjoy myself. I've been playing professional tennis for 20 years, I'm tired of the plan, what's next. As one gets older, one appreciates being present in the present moment more, no one wants to say what will happen next week. You know what my goals are. I hope the elbow will be ready for the first match."
He further said:
"I have turned a new page in that context. I was not satisfied in Monte Carlo,
but I have already forgotten about that. I am glad I will have the
experience of playing in Banja Luka. An opportunity has presented itself
for me to play here in the final stage of my career, and I will be
enjoying myself as much as I can."
