"I hope to be me, Alcaraz and finally Sinner": Rune hopes to form new Big Three with fellow touted Next Gen stars

Holger Rune wants to be part of the next big three in tennis alongside Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner whom he sees as the best young players alongside himself.

Rune has certainly done quite a bit on the court to put himself among the best young players and growing up on Tour with Alcaraz will certainly be beneficial to him in the next few years. The Dane hopes to be part of the next big three alongside Alcaraz and Sinner whom he feels are the best young players out there:

“One of the trio I hope to be me, then [Carlos] Alcaraz, who has already shown that he knows how to win Grand Slams, and finally [Jannik] Sinner. He has an incredible attitude. He looks like he’s been on the tour for a lifetime but he’s just 21, and every time he plays he shows improvement."

He played against both of them in his career so far with the score between him and Alcaraz being 1-1. Against Sinner he's 1-0 but interestingly both of his wins over those players came in matches where they retired. He hasn't cleanly either either of them yet but there will plenty of chances for that in the past.
