Daniela Hantuchova believes Emma Raducanu has the “class and talent” to “achieve even bigger things” as the tennis pundit responded to Nick Kyrgios’ criticism of her analyses of the US Open champion.
On the back of Raducanu’s early exit from the Miami Open, Hantuchova explained during her post-match analyses that the teenager appears to have lost her aura following her Flushing Meadows success, saying that the locker room respect she commanded after her first major appears to have gone.
Kyrgios chimed in on the comments writing on Twitter:
“What’s with old retired players giving their opinion on our stars now? I read an article about a past female player talking about Raducanu, no offence but she is a far far bigger name already."
The Slovakian, though, has also turned to Twitter as she asked the “super busy” Kyrgios to listen to the interview in its entirety:
“Nick please next time, when you make a comment try to at least listen to the entire interview, i know you are super busy but..i have nothing but love and respect 4 Emma and because of that i believe she can achieve even bigger things, because of her class and talent.just like you."
