Nick Kyrgios was heavily bothered by a spectator at
Wimbledon and had her thrown out of the final because of it.
Kyrgios fumed at the umpire several times before the ejection happened describing her as the one that looks like she had 700 drinks. He said:
"She's distracting me when I'm serving in a Wimbledon
final. There's no other
bigger occasion, you didn't believe me and then she did it again. It
nearly cost me the game. Why is she still here? She's drunk out of her mind and speaking to me in the middle of a game. What's acceptable?"
The woman was only temporarily ejected as she was allowed back into the match after 15 minutes and some water and newspapers in the UK tracked her down to speak with her. She obliged saying:
"I wanted to give him support. Maybe I took it too far... but I only had good intentions. It's the temperature for me, I had no hat. I'm really sorry."
She also confirmed she only had two drinks and drank exclusively water upon returning to the stands. The 32-year old once again reitarated that she had no ill will towards Kyrgios.
