Patrick Mouratoglou has broken his silence after
Simona Halep was provisionally banned from tennis due to a banned substance.
The French tennis coach partnered with Halep earlier this year leaving the tennis world stunned as he was supposed to be there for Serena's return. Mouratoglou was unhappy with the way Serena was handling her return and he opted to leave the arrangement to go coach Halep.
There have been some growing pains but for the most part, Halep had a really good season overall with a WTA 1000 trophy in Toronto. He remained silent upon the news breaking but now broke that silence by writing on Instagram:
"I support you 100% in this fight, Simona. All the way through."
It's a rather short statement from the generally talkative Mouratoglou. He is currently coaching Holger Rune in a move that surprised many with Mouratoglou explaining it was due to Halep taking time off after her nose surgery.
It seems like he was aware what was coming.
