After two unsuccessful Grand Slam tournaments,
Andy Murray will try to prove his qualities at the
bett1HULKS Indoors Cologne.
The 33-years-old Scot failed in both of his first-round appearances at the 2020 US Open and Roland Garros. Former world number 1 first lost to Felix Auger-Aliassime and then he was defeated by Stan Wawrinka without winning a set in both matches. However, Andy Murray still believes he can win tournaments and he will try to do that at the bett1HULKS Indoors in Cologne where he will be facing Fernando Verdasco in the first round.
“It will be good to get a few matches in over these next few weeks – I hope to perform better than I did in Paris,” said Murray. “I want to win tournaments and move up the rankings. Physically, my body tends to feel better the more I play. Hopefully, I will play a lot over the next two weeks, perform well and see how it goes after that.”
“It has gone well at times and sometimes been a struggle,” Murray reflected. “I was told it would be an 18-month process for my body to get used to it. It changes the way your pelvis moves and your body needs to adjust. Hopefully with a few matches this autumn and some good training, next year will be a good one.”
