With news of the government changing in Australia, rumours have picked up that Djokovic's 3-year ban to Australia could be lifted.
Djokovic was tracked down by Reuters at the French Open and he agreed briefly to speak about the changing landscape in Australia and what it could possibly mean for him. Asked about his visa, Djokovic said:
"I don't know anything about whether my visa is going to be reinstated or whether I'm going to be allowed to come back to Australia. I would like to. I would like to go there and play the
Australian Open."
He then confirmed that despite everything that has happened he would still love to return because he doesn't hold grudges:
"I don't hold any grudges. Look, you know, it was
what it was. If I have an opportunity to go back to Australia and play a
place where I made the biggest success in my career on Grand Slam, I would love to come back."
