Touted to lead the next wave of male American tennis players, #NextGenATP star Dennis Korda is slowly making his mark on the ATP Tour.
The 20-year old broke onto the scene last year after reaching the round of 16 at Roland Garros, winning two ATP Challenger titles and breaking into the Top 100 in the FedEx ATP rankings. After finishing runner-up at Delray Beach this year and reaching a career-high of World No.62, the Florida native has begun to set new goals for himself.
“I’d love to win a Grand Slam this year, but there is a lot of road ahead,” said Korda. “One of my biggest goals is to finish the year in the Top 50.”
The American is also seeking qualification for the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan, with his strong play this season placing him in third position to qualify for the 21-and-under event.
“I’d love to play Milan,” said Korda. “It would be super awesome and it would definitely be a reward for having a good year and a lot of the hard work I am putting in. If I get the opportunity to play in Milan, it would be really cool.”
